There are a few new pictures on the picture site. They are in the STACK album. These are pictures of a house and land that Smok and Amy are trying to buy. Pray that they are able to get it. Lord knows, Smok works his butt off and I think they deserve a nice place like this. From what he told me, it has about 25 acres of land (half woods, half pasture), the house and barn you see in the pictures, and a shop. This would be a really nice place for them. The owner said that he would work with them on the financing, so hopefully, they can get it. So, everyone, just keep them in your prayers. Give ‘em a call and wish ‘em luck!

This was the witty little idea that my training partner/coach, Matt, came up with. Every Sunday, we run. Well, I was a little worried about this because I haven’t been able to run in a long time. But he assured me that we would take it pretty slow. And we did. I think that if I were to race now, at the pace that I ran yesterday, everyone else would be finishing by the time I got half way. Oh well, that’s why we train. I was also worried that my knees would be killing me after running. To my suprise, they weren’t. The rest of my legs were sore but my knees were fine. I’m thinking I’m gonna try running at least twice a week: Sunday and Wednesday. That way, by the time my body is healing up from Sunday, I’m torture it some more by running again, and vice versa. Oh well, that’s it for me, for now. I know there is no one reading this right now, so I don’t even know why I bother. Maybe, just maybe, when the family starts participating, they will maybe read it and possibly write something too. Until then…

Well, to all those that care, I am currently training for a triathalon. Yes, big ol’ me. I told a few people about it Memorial Day weekend and started training when I got back. The one I am training for is in the middle of September. Hopefully, I will be ready. The race is a 500 yard swim, a 13 mile bike ride, and a 3 mile run. I have been training for the biking aspect of it first. I try to ride every day and combined with a better diet, I have lost about 13 pounds so far. I’m trying to get enough weight off of my frame before I start running or I will end up really hurting my knees. Anyway, I’m training with a friend of mine named Matt. He was already in pretty good shape, but has really been instrumental in keeping me accountable. It helps that we work together and are in the same small group at church. Anyway, I just hope that I can keep this up. It’s tough but it will be well worth it. I’m not doing the race to compete with anyone. There is no way in the world that I could even finish in the top 10 even if only 9 people were in the race. I’m doing this for me. It’s been a goal of mine since I saw a video on Team Hoyt (Website Video). Oh well, maybe I’ll at least get in a little better shape. My worship pastor at church suggested that we film the training and track the progress and put together a little video that we could use in church that promotes accountablility and endurance. Basically, how training for a triathalon is similar to being a Christian. After all, the Bible does refer to it as race. Hebrews. Anyway, I’m sure I’ve wasted enough of your time.

We will try to keep this updated as to what all is going on. Feel free to add comments and register so that you can add posts. I would like for this to be a place that everyone can come to see what is going on. See ya.

Well, howdy!!! Thanks for everyone coming and seeing the site. I put this together in hopes that it could be a way for all of us to stay current on everything that’s going on in our lives. Hopefully, everyone will post or leave a comment so that we will know how everyone is doing. Also, take a look at the links to the right. The “Pictures” link will take you to a site that will allow you to upload pictures to an album of your choice. Anyway, I’m still building this page, so, hopefully, the content will expand. See ya.
